Event Review: Digital Resonance- AI Perception Workshop
On the August 15, artist Haiqing Tang and workshop participants gathered at SIXI Museum for a deep dialogue on perception and emotion through AI, capturing deeply personal imagery hidden within their sensory experience.
In Tang’s practice, the human-AI dynamic extends far beyond a one-way prompt-and-response—it is an equal, resonant dialogue.The workshop opened with intuitive sensing. Tang guided participants to observe objects, moving past rational analysis of shape and structure to capture the immediate feelings and associations they evoked. Touch, scent, dreams, and fleeting impressions were then translated into highly personal text prompts.
Through iterative cycles of generation, refinement, and re-creation, participants tuned the images closer to their internal world, revealing long-overlooked thoughts and states of mind.
By engaging with AI, participants joined Tang in a process of self-discovery. This captures a core vision of the workshop: technology is not a tool for perfecting technique, but a mirror reflecting perception—helping us re-encounter the real moments we so often miss.
