Lydia Blakeley was born in Bracknell, UK in 1980. Her works are commonly based on images from the Internet, from which she carefully selects the perfect objects that are so often the target of our aspirations. These idealized images represent the facade of consumerism and social media, in a not dissimilar way to how Blakeley uses her artistic practice to address personal situations.
