Pull-A-Part (2023), the artist’s largest work to date, is a three panel painting of oil, spray paint, pencil, and collage on canvas. The title is in reference to a junkyard in Georgia where the artist would dig for found car parts, and in a similar vein, the varying shades of yellow and red, as well as the nonconformity in panel size, mimic the process of puzzling together disparate scraps to make an object whole.
三联绘画《拉开》,融汇架上绘画、喷绘、素描和拼贴技法,采用三联构图,是艺术家迄今为止创作的尺幅最大的作品。本作主题来自一个艺术家经常去翻找汽车零件的位于美国乔治亚州的废品厂。尺寸各异的画布,明暗交织的黄色与红色,都在模拟将分散的汽车部件拼凑成整体的过程。整个创作过程与艺术家前往垃圾场翻找汽车零件的行为一脉相承。
